So far, I have primarily created artworks based on things I love, such as Buddhism, Korean traditions, and the streets of New York. However, there is one subject I have not tackled in my work: the relationship between my father and me. My father passed away when I was 15 due to an accident while he was hiking, right after we had an unresolved argument about my future. He opposed my pursuing an artistic career.

However, after his death, as I continued my career as an artist, I often wondered: Am I doing well? Are you proud of me?
This work consists of a series of video clips rendered through Unreal Engine and clips filmed within the last six years. To facilitate a smooth connection between these clips, I composed the overall storyline through a letter I wrote to my father, narrated in Korean. I used an old Samsung digital camera our family frequently used, assumed it as my father's proxy, and embarked on a virtual journey with it. I scanned the camera with a 3D scanner, edited it in Maya, then imported and placed it in various backgrounds created in Unreal Engine. The backgrounds are mainly divided into three categories: virtual places created in Unreal that my father loved, places I love (New York), and places both of us love. Exploring these places conveys a condensed version of my experiences over the past six years and simultaneously commemorates the memories we built together while reframing them from my current perspective. Through the narration of the letter I wrote in exploring these places, I strive to continue the conversation with my father that we never got to finish.
